My approach blends psychodynamic, person-centred, and relational practices. This means we can explore how your past experiences and unconscious thoughts may be influencing your current feelings and behaviours, while ensuring our sessions are guided by you—the expert in your own life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful tool for insight and growth, and I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel heard, valued, and understood.
I work with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relational issues, early attachment, identity challenges, women’s issues, and work-related concerns. My practice is also open to incorporating creative exploration, such as photographs, journal entries, and art, to access deeper emotions and thoughts. Visual analogies and metaphors often help clarify feelings and guide our work together.
Before training as a therapist, I spent a decade working in communications and public relations, which has given me a deep appreciation for human connection, empathy, and the power of effective listening. This background may particularly resonate with those working in fast-paced environments or creative industries.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to its high standards of professionalism, proficiency, and ethical practice. I hold an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich, where I focused on integrating counselling theory with cultural and contextual awareness.
If you’re looking for a space to explore your feelings, work through difficult experiences, or make meaningful changes in your life, please feel free to get in touch. I offer a free initial 15-minute telephone consultation to discuss your needs and how we might work together moving forward.
