Holly Allen
Hello and welcome
I am an experienced and fully accredited Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist.
I feel passionately about the power of therapy to provide healing, insight and transformation. Therapy is a collaborative journey and with kindness and curiosity I will be by your side as you navigate your way back to a ‘fullness of being’ that is there inside of you waiting to be discovered.
There are many reasons for seeking therapy. You may want to feel more at peace in your body and mind to allow you the space to access your innate potential for growth and fulfilment. You may wish to feel safe enough to be more authentically you in your relationships and social situations. You may be feeling lost and looking for more meaning and purpose, or caught in worry, fear, self-doubt and feeling stuck. I will meet you wherever you are with the intention of bringing a gentle and grounded presence, and an alive, active engagement to our work together.
We will explore what is happening within you, both mind and body, and how you relate to the external world. Our work together will help uncover the layers of patterns and coping mechanisms that you developed through childhood that could be unconsciously preventing you from living a fulfilling life as an adult. The therapeutic journey will help you find the internal flexibility to move towards new ways of being.
I have supported individuals with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, panic attacks, stress, low self-esteem, burn out, procrastination, addiction, relationship and attachment issues, shame, loneliness, imposter syndrome, social anxiety, body image issues, mid-life challenges, parenting issues, menopause, OCD, eating disorders, recovery from abuse, difficulties with intimacy, sexuality, grief, loss, and anger issues.
I have an MA in Mindfulness Based Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute. I am a fully accredited member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), and I adhere to their ethical codes of good practice.
I am also an experienced trauma therapist specialising in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). EMDR is a very effective way of helping people who are suffering from trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and many other conditions.
Finding the right therapist is an important first step so I offer a free introductory session so you can find out in person what working together would be like.
My fee is £125 per one hour session.
If you have any questions or would like to book a free introductory session please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
