Theo Kostidakis

I am a dramatherapist, based in London.

I offer confidential therapy sessions for adults / young people, online or in-person, in either English or Greek.

Common difficulties that I work with include trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, sadness, self-esteem, ADHD, autism, family difficulties, mental health conditions, bereavement, dementia, PTSD, and psychosocial
stressors.

Possible ways of work include:

Individual sessions
Group sessions
Sessions for children / adolescents
Family sessions
Couple’s sessions
Online sessions

I usually offer an initial consultation session so that we can meet and collaboratively decide if and how we can work together. If you are happy to continue we will set up a second session and will arrange to meet regularly (usually weekly).

I hold an MA Drama and Movement Therapy  from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (University of London), and have undertaken additional training in Systemic Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am registered with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council), and am a full member of the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth).

As a therapist, I have worked extensively with children of all ages and adults, offering group and individual sessions. To date, my therapeutic experience has focused on working with children: those excluded – or at risk of being excluded – from mainstream education (in both Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) settings); and offering culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed therapy to young asylum seekers and refugees. My additional experience includes co-facilitating dramatherapy sessions at a mental health hospital, and at a specialist school for children with Profound and Multiple LearningDisabilities (PMLD).

I have presented my work at several conferences, organised by institutions such as the British Association of Dramatherapists, the
University of South Wales, and the European Consortium of Arts Therapies. I continue to deliver training, lectures and workshops to
trainee therapists, colleagues and other professionals. I have contributed to an edited collection on dramatherapy and have contributed
as a peer reviewer to Dramatherapy, the professional journal of the British Association of Dramatherapists.
