Paulina Filippou
I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor working with adults. I offer one-to-one online and in-person therapy in both English and Greek. My approach is flexible and accessible, tailored to suit individual needs and circumstances.
I offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel empowered to explore their inner world, uncover solutions, and grow in self-awareness. I believe that the answers lie within us all, and the therapeutic journey helps to illuminate the path towards healing and transformation.
I have experience working in the voluntary sector, supporting people recovering from severe mental health challenges, along with their families and carers. During that time my work involved offering one-to-one in-person guidance, facilitating support groups, and providing support and advice over the phone, helping people navigate difficult times with care and understanding.
I have also worked for a number of years in various communications roles with children and young people’s charities. This work deepened my understanding of advocacy and support, particularly around early childhood development, youth participation, parenting, and special educational needs and disabilities.
My background in psychology and communications informs my practice. Over the years I have worked with a diverse range of clients in areas such as mental health, parenting, caregiving, special education needs and disabilities, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, shame, domestic abuse, low confidence, low self-esteem, relationship issues, work related issues, suicidal ideation, trauma, bereavement, loneliness, stuckness. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face and the resilience they can cultivate.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution focused therapy. This allows me to adapt my client-led, non-directive approach to best support each person’s unique journey.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client is key to achieving meaningful change. Every client is unique and an expert in their own life experiences. My role is to listen to you and offer you a confidential space to process your emotions and experiences, helping you make sense of them and collaboratively helping you move forward in whatever direction feels right for you.

Please get in touch if you are interested in meeting and would like to have an initial discussion. I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation, either via video call or over the phone, depending on individual preferences. This will be an opportunity for us to meet, get a sense of each other, and have an informal chat about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and establish whether we could potentially work together.
