Psychotherapy provides a safe space where pain and difficult issues can be alleviated through communication in a supportive, non – judgmental and holistic environment. I believe it is a powerful tool that helps individuals to overcome discouragement and pain.
As an integrative psychotherapist I utilise tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Existential, Transpersonal and Person Centred approaches. I combine this variety of approaches, with empathy and a collaborative way of working, to encourage clients to connect with their true and authentic selves, assisting them to nourish and develop their innate qualities.
My journey in the field of psychology and psychotherapy has helped me to understand the complexity of the human mind on a deeper level and how early experiences can have a deep impact on our lives and influence our relationships with others.
Creativity is an important part of my Transpersonal therapeutic approach and I often work with visualisation, intuition, drawing, breathing techniques, bodywork, mythology and dream work during sessions.
Since 2013 I have been working with clients through various clinical placements. My areas of speciality are:
- Suicidal thoughts
- LGBTQ related issues
I am a trainee Transpersonal Integrative therapist working towards my accreditation. I speak fluent English, Portuguese and Italian.
