Ana Virlan

Ana Virlan

I am a family psychotherapist, member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and AFT (The Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice).

I work with individuals, couples, and families and I have been qualified as a family & systemic psychotherapist since 2013.

I have worked with people with a range of experiences and concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, loss, low self-esteem/self-confidence, day-to-day life struggles, personal growth, relationship or family issues, and distress (family, friends, partners), health-related issues, work, and career-related issues, and parenting. I also offer premarital counselling.

My approach

Life is full of ups and downs. But the way you approach these ups and downs depends on your life and family experiences.

Everything or some things in your life may seem too much at the moment, trying to cope with everyday life, there seem to be aspects that are causing you concern and you don’t know and understand why. I believe by getting to know how the past might influence our present and future, and taking responsibility, we allow ourselves to grow and heal.

I am here to support you if you need to untangle the ‘wires’ of your mind, understand a certain situation, want to make a change, or find your way.

My aim is to offer a safe, non-judgemental, warm, and accepting environment.

My fees

£70 per 50-minute session for individuals

£90 per hourly session for couples

£100 per hourly session for families

I am bilingual (English and Romanian) and I offer psychotherapy both in person and online.

You are welcome to contact me to have an initial 10 minutes telephone consultation to see how we can work together.
